What To Expect

Yu Garden (Yuyuan)
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 09:00 a.m.. Then, we will transfer to Shanghai Old City and visit Yu Garden.
Yu Garden was a private garden of the Pan family in the Ming Dynasty. It was the largest and most prestigious of its era in Shanghai after it was completed.
Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. The exquisite layout, beautiful scenery, and the artistic style of the garden architecture have made the garden one of the highlights of Shanghai.
You can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge. Chinese people believe that the number nine symbolizes auspiciousness. Walking across the Bridge is said to bring people good luck. The Bridge leads to Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, which is the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.

Then, you will transfer to the Bund and admire the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles along the Bund.

The Bund
The Bund is a famous waterfront on the west bank of Huangpu River and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Here, the charm of Shanghai as a bustling metropolis combining the century-old history and flourishing future is fully presented, making the Bund Shanghai a must-see attraction. You will see the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles at the Bund. Such as Peace Hotel(Heping Fandian), Shanghai Customs House and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. You will appreciate skyscrapers across the Huangpu River.

China Art Museum
The museum was transformed from the China Pavilion of the Expo 2010 Shanghai, an upside-down red pyramid. A visit is worth it just for the extravagant building and its vistas of the city. It is dedicated to demonstrate the masterpieces of a number of China's modern and contemporary artists. Works on display span modern and contemporary periods, and there are numerous temporary exhibitions, including touring shows from abroad.
The stunning highlight of the museum is the multimedia replica of the famous painting ‘Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival one thousand years ago, which vividly shows the life of all social sectors at that time.

Then, you will continue to the site of the Shanghai Expo 2010, a park that offers a variety of exhibits about Chinese culture.

Qibao Old Street
Then, you will wander in Qibao Old Street and experience local lifestyle.
Qibao Ancient Town is Located in the center of Minhang District of Shanghai, which has both the scenery of water town and a history spanning over one thousand years. The name originates from the Qibao Temple. You can see cricket displays and live cricket fighting shows at the Cricket Museum in town. A great variety of snacks in Qibao Ancient Town will attract your eye. Walk along Qibao Old street, taste typical snacks and enjoy the local lifestyle.
